During the summer of 2017 a group of concerned citizens gathered together to discuss how the community could better address the issue of homelessness in McLeod County. From that gathering was birthed HOMES. HOMES is guided by a diverse group of people from within the county, including pastors, service providers, business people, and compassionate citizens. Our goal is to help our neighbors who find themselves in crisis have a temporary place to live so that they can work with a self-sufficiency case manager from United Community Action Partnership (UCAP) to work toward stability and self-sufficiency.
