Our mission is to provide the homeless in McLeod County with short-term housing so that they can work with service providers to achieve their goal of self-sufficiency.
We provide a fully furnished apartment for an individual and their family’s immediate needs for shelter. This provides the client with the stability needed to work with service providers to address employment needs, housing assistance, health services, and other identified barriers keeping them from being self-sufficient. All clients are required to work closely with a UCAP (United Community Action Partnership) case manager to set and pursue goals toward being self-sufficient.
HOMES currently maintains a one-bedroom apartment in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Our desire is to expand the number and locations of apartments that we can make available to people and families who are homeless.
